Role & Responsibilities:

The US Tax Manager will report directly to a very experienced Global Head of Tax, leading on all US Tax matters and becoming an integral member of a small team of 4. The US Tax Manager will also work closely with the CFO and wider finance team to improve processes and implement effective controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for being the lead tax contact across the business for US operations, with ownership of the US tax function

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns and support the team with international tax filings

  • Collaborate with the Finance team to streamline tax reporting processes and establish robust controls

  • Review and document transfer pricing to ensure domestic and global compliance

  • Lead the development and upkeep of the Group’s tax governance framework

  • Partner with teams across the organization to integrate a tax perspective into key business decisions

  • Support the Head of Indirect Tax with the preparation of indirect tax forms

  • Support with US and international withholding tax matters, including documentation and compliance with FATCA and CRS regimes

  • Work with the wider tax team and external advisors to provide tax guidance on new business initiatives

  • Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and developing US tax regulations

  • Identify performance gaps and areas for potential improvement

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified (CPA or MST)

  • 6+ years of experience in US tax, with a preference for financial services or Big 4

  • Strong understanding of key tax principles

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present to senior stakeholders

  • Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning

  • Autonomous professionals who can work well both independently and as part of a team
