As they grow, they’re seeking a commercially minded and strategically focused Senior Finance Business Partner to play a key role in driving sustainable profitability and supporting decision making at the highest level.


Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Director, the Senior Finance Business Partner will lead a team and act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, with responsibilities including:

  • Acting as a strategic partner to Regional Managing Directors, providing financial insights and challenge

  • Recruit and lead a team of high performing Finance Business Partners and Analysts

  • Support operational teams to ensure new contracts or projects are only commenced on a commercially sound and acceptable basis.  Ensuring future commercial elements are implemented including price increases, KPIs and SLAs

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timetable

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess contract profitability, cost efficiency, and risk management

  • Provide commercial analysis on new business opportunities, contract renewals, and pricing strategies

  • Drive financial performance by identifying trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement

  • Support operational managers with cost control, margin enhancement, and operational efficiencies

  • Work closely with finance colleagues to ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures

  • Assist completion of month end and subsequent delivery of high-quality monthly management accounts and reporting

  • Enhance financial reporting for presentation to senior management, highlighting key risks and opportunities and driving action

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardisation of processes and reporting across the business

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience

  • Excellent people management and team leadership skills

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in a business partnering role, preferably within facilities management or service industries

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights

  • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving commercial performance

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of working effectively with finance and non-finance teams

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities  meeting deadlines

  • Ability to attend meetings in different locations as required
