Overview

We are excited to be working with a highly entrepreneurial, private equity backed infrastructure business, currently seeking a Head of Finance to drive the next stage of growth.

Backed by a well known mid-market investor, the business is scaling rapidly through capital investment and expansion, and is seeking a commercially and strategic Head of Finance to partner with key stakeholders.

As number one in finance, this role offers real ownership, direct exposure to investors and lenders, and the chance to operate as a strategic partner in a lean, ambitious environment.


Key Exposure Includes:

  • Ownership of the finance function within a growing, capital intensive platform

  • Direct exposure to a leading infrastructure fund and senior stakeholders

  • Hands-on involvement in debt facilities, capital expansion and strategic decision making

  • A genuine opportunity to help shape processes, systems and commercial insight as the business scales

  • Opportunity to evolve into Finance Director/ CFO position

Key Duties:

  • Full ownership of liquidity, cashflow forecasting and treasury strategy

  • Management of capex facilities, including covenant compliance and lender reporting

  • Active engagement with lenders on drawdowns, refinancing and facility optimisation

  • Oversee monthly management accounts and performance reporting

  • Deliver robust variance analysis and board-level insight

  • Ensure reporting aligns with fund and lender requirements

  • Financial Planning & Strategic Modelling - Own budgets, long-term business plans and investment models

  • Lead scenario and sensitivity analysis to support expansion initiatives

  • Support M&A, refinancing and capital allocation decisions

  • Drive improvements in FP&A capability and automation

  • Support ESG and compliance standards aligned to investor expectations

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive finance experience, ideally within asset heavy or capital intensive sectors

  • Professionally qualified (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong financial modelling and FP&A expertise

  • Experience managing debt facilities and covenant reporting with knowledge of refinancing

  • Commercial mindset with the confidence to engage directly with investors and lenders

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on and excited by building in a lean environment
