Overview:
A fast growing, global infrastructure business is seeking an Interim Group Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting and legal entity governance across its European holding structures.
This newly created role sits at the heart of the group finance function and will be responsible for accurate legal entity reporting, inter-company funding flows, and statutory compliance, particularly across Luxembourg and other European holding jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a hands on mindset, and experience navigating complex group structures.
Role & Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements under IFRS and local GAAPs
Manage group reporting submissions, inter-company reconciliations, and audit deliverables
Maintain oversight of group and capital structures, including shareholder loans, equity movements, and structured finance instruments
Act as the key finance contact for legal entity governance, restructurings, and compliance
Support tracking of intra-group funding, FX hedging, and treasury-related flows
Partner with Tax and Legal on transfer pricing, withholding tax, and substance requirements
Monitor accounting/regulatory changes and implement necessary reporting updates
Drive automation and process improvement across reporting systems (e.g. D365, OneStream, Yardi)
Candidate Profile:
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA)
5+ years’ experience in audit and/or financial reporting roles, ideally within multinational structures
Strong IFRS knowledge; experience with Lux GAAP, Dutch GAAP, or similar is a plus
Systems experience with consolidation/reporting platforms (e.g. OneStream, Hyperion) and ERP systems (e.g. D365, Yardi)
