Overview

Pearse Professionals are delighted to be partnered with a well known, large entrepreneurial institution currently seeking strategic finance leaders to join the team to aid with the next stage of growth.

With an opportunity to grow into a CFO position, this is a high-impact role at the forefront of strategy, finance, and operations, ideal for candidates from investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance, or commercial finance experience who want to transition into an senior finance capacity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the senior leadership team to define and execute the financial roadmap, positioning the business for growth and future fundraising.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Build forecasting models, scenario plans, and KPI dashboards to inform executive and board-level decisions, as well as hold functions to account on their commitments to budgets and performance.

  • Accounting Oversight: Manage relationship with external accounting firm, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and build internal financial discipline.

  • Compliance & Risk: Oversee financial governance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory standards.

  • Commercial Partnering: Provide insights into pricing, unit economics, and growth strategy for product and commercial teams.

  • Leadership Development: Lay the foundations for an in-house finance team as the company scales.

Experience:

  • Experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or senior finance/strategy accounting (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA Qualified or equivalent), roles in a scale-up.

  • Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis, and strategic problem-solving skills.

  • Exposure to portfolio management, fundraising, transaction processes, or board-level stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to rapidly learn and apply accounting and financial reporting principles.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and hands-on execution.

  • Passion for technology, sustainability, and transforming global supply chains.

  • Prior exposure in TMT, Infrastructure, software, SaaS, technology, or impact driven sectors.
