Overview:
Pearse Professionals are delighted to be partnered with a high growth private equity backed technology business, currently seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the team on a remote basis.
With recent private equity backing and fully immersed in the digital transformation space, this business are known for its exceptional solutions across digital infrastructure, cyber security and data development.
About the Role:
The FP&A Analyst will play a key role driving financial insight and planning through ownership of trading outlooks, reporting tools, and core finance processes whilst also enabling better decisions across the business.
Responsibilities:
Build and own Power BI reporting - design, develop, and maintain bespoke dashboards and interactive reports that pull live data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other internal sources, using robust data-modelling and DAX practices.
Act as the Dynamics data lead - shape the finance data architecture, manage integrations/ETL pipelines, and ensure Dynamics tables are optimised for analytics and self-service consumption.
Drive FP&A excellence - lead forecasting, budgeting, scenario modelling, and variance analysis, translating numbers into clear, KPI-driven insights for weekly trading outlooks and long range planning.
Deliver actionable financial MI - present concise, visual analysis that enables quick, data backed decisions at exec, board, and business unit level.
Partner across the business - be the go to finance contact for data and performance questions, challenging assumptions and supporting commercial teams with ad-hoc analysis.
Champion automation & continuous improvement - identify opportunities to streamline data flows, eliminate manual reporting, and introduce best in class visualisation standards.
Prepare board-ready materials - craft high impact packs and narratives that combine financial performance, operational drivers, and forward looking metrics.
Embed best practice in the finance team - upskill colleagues on Power BI/Dynamics reporting, share FP&A know-how, and foster a data driven culture.
Contribute to cross-functional projects - support system upgrades, data-quality initiatives, and other strategic programmes that rely on accurate, timely financial information.
Candidate Profile:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified Accountant
Exceptional Power BI/ Excel skills (examples of Power BI dashboards/ Excel modelling) essential.
Relevant experience with a focus on financial modelling, analysis and business partnering.
Must be proactive and a solutions-based thinker, who identifies improvements, provides insights and challenges what has been done before.
Must be a self starter who can independently take projects from inception to execution in a time pressured environment.
Must have a detailed approach to planning and execution of work and take pride in delivering exceptional quality.
Experience of using modern accounting software is a must.
Good communication skills, ability to negotiate and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritise when multi-tasking.
